Shiki Kagino is a 35-year-old bachelor who has no trouble finding company every night. After his sister suddenly loses her life in an accident, he takes in her little boy Kai for six months. Shiki's good at his job, but raising a child is a whole different matter. He moves into a shared house affiliated with a daycare where Natsume, an attractive young man who's an aspiring actor, is a resident. Shiki has always avoided getting too close to people, but upon getting to know Natsume, who's very sincere about his feelings and helps look after Kai, Shiki starts to learn what it's like to care for others.
